"Urban Garden" in progress - 4

In these images one can see the grid and the masking for the design. I measure the composition with my straight edge that I have had since photography school at Brooks Institute. The "notes" on the canvas are a guide for possible colors that I could use, and that are often changed; they help me to progress into a direction of the feeling that I want to convey. Paint is applied with my Holbein #2 painting knife. I love the introduction of the red here.
