"Swiss Goat with Cherries" oil painting

Swiss Goat with Cherries - oil on gessoboard - 6" x 6"

I am inspired. My friend, Tamra Sanchez, got me going again on the Daily Paintings. My goal is to post two to three paintings a week. Another new opportunity for me is to post the work to an auction  where my small works can be fought over and purchased. (Smile).

The challenging part of this painting were the values. The cherries are those black-red kind, the goat is white and in shadow, though not quite as light as the cloth sitting in the light. FUN.
