Our Sonoma Coast is quite beautiful and rugged. On a day like this one, the sea churns and changes position stirring the emotions in the same way as the water. I stood here while my husband waited in the car, as I photographed this great castle of stone. Later as I painted the carefully chosen subject I thought about what lies in the future, what painful beauty swims in the shadows, what promise plays in the joyful mysterious light like an otter. So much inexplicable wonder.
