The Outer Reaches - Oil on canvas, 12 x 12 x 1.5 in
Painting the "Calypso series" has been a break-through moment for me. I was inspired to create each entire composition with tape and no preconceived design. Each painting was fashioned one shape at a time, allowing the oil paint to dry before moving on to the next adjacent shape, taping and painting and repeating. All color and shape decisions were made intuitively. I am enjoying the generous, lyrical quality of this method. This painting is Available.
